Back to School

As some of you may know, I graduated early last October to go to Germany and be with Paul.
Now, I was that girl who hated school and wanted to get out as soon as possible. But then, I got even more motivation to graduate early (Paul), so I worked my butt off and got out of there a whopping 9 months early.
I had fun traveling around back and forth to Germany, and then to Hawaii, but now that we're settled in, I find myself craving the structure of being in school..
Anyone who knew me in High School is probably saying that ^ Hah.
But yes, I miss school. My husband told me I would, and every other adult in my life did too.
I just wasn't having it. "Nope. No I wont. You guys are crazy"
They weren't crazy, after all.
Anyway, "What are you going to do about it Laura?" you're all wondering!!! (not).

I'm going to go back to school!
Well, hopefully.
You see, the only neat thing about the military is that my husband and I can both get free degrees if we want, and why not take advantage of that?
So my days lately have consisted of looking at online schools, talking Paul into getting us enrolled, and brainstorming what I want to be when I grow up. <- Haha.
The crazy thing is, I cannot stop thinking about going to school to be a teacher.
I thought I hated school, but when I think really hard, I remember that I LOVED elementary school, and I "played teacher" up until I was like, 13.
It's just something I lost sight of when I got older because I hated high school and I thought that meant I hated school in general.
That's what's been on my mind.. And it wont get off my mind, which means that I need to put some serious thought into it and get into gear if I make a decision.
The awesome thing is, everyone I went to school with just started college, so it's not like i'm starting late. I could be a full time teacher by the time i'm 21 or 22.
This is just a little dream of mine starting to evolve, and I appreciate whoever would like to share it with me.
What do you think about going to school to be a teacher?

(By the way, I am aware that they don't make a lot of money. I wouldn't be doing it for the money anyway.)

High Five for Friday

1) Yesterday my wonderful husband bought me a pair of slippers from Walmart, and let me tell you, they're wonderful. Not only are they fuzzy and comfortable, but they remind me of Fall and Winter which reminds me of Montana which makes me feel at home. Wow. I'm a loser. Hah.
2) My dog Nana loves car rides. That is all.
3) The blankets were all piled up on the bed and Nana was hiding from Paul because he was trying to pick her up. Her adorable ears just so happened to be preciously flipped back so I had to capture the moment.
4)So I followed this tutorial, and made this gorg/glam wreath for our front door. The best part? I can switch out the accessories for different holidays/seasons. (:
5) Can you tell I want it to be Fall/Winter? Too bad we live in Hawaii and there are no seasons. Anyway I bought this Essie polish called Wrapped in Rubies and I LOVE it.

Wondering what this High Five for Friday wonderfulness is about?
Check it out.!

Home Tour Tuesday

We moved into our little home on the 18th of July, and well, we haven't got much done.
See, we just got married, and we had to start from scratch with EVERYTHING.
We started with the bedroom, because that's obviously the room we're in the most..and that's the only room that's done.
I can't wait to get the rest of the house done, but for now, here's what we have!

Front of the house, and our car.

Right wall in our bedroom, Fall themed for right now.

Where the magic happens. Just kidding. It's our desk in front of the window that my husband insisted on having.

Hubby's nightstand.

My nightstand, with essentials.

Our fabulous bed. Looove the painting.

My own personal Instagram on the left wall.

Master bathroom towel rack.

Master bathroom.

Master closet, decorated to perfection!

I cannot wait to start decorating the rest of the house. It feels so great to finally settle in to a home, even if it's only for 3 years.
I'm just learning along the way and getting ideas from Pinterest and other websites.
If you have questions about where anything is from, just ask.

Hello, Hawaii

Hi umm, where do I start?
My husband and I just moved to Oahu because he got stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
We are finally in our first home together, and let me tell you,
it feels goooood.
BUT, wait a minute, I miss Montana.

Before we left, Paul and I were discussing how much I hated that place and that I was so excited to move. Then we get here and settle into our home a bit and, bam, I get hit by the homesick train and I'm packing my suitcases to go back to the good ol' MT.
Okay that was a slight over-exaggeration.
But I did realize that I missed it a whole lot more than I thought was possible.

So here I am, in Hawaii, with my beautiful husband and our ungodly cute fur baby that we adopted. (ADOPT, PEOPLE) and I'm the happiest I've ever been.
Not because I'm in love with this place or that everything is going perfect..
But because for once in my life, I'm accepting everything as it is, and just going with it.
We'll be back in Montana when we're supposed to be, but for now, we're here.

Plus, I mean, just compare these two sunsets..
(If you can)

Which one's more beautiful?

Waikiki Sunset, Oahu, HI
Flathead Lake Sunset, Bigfork, MT
